Human beings are an amazing and innovative species. Whatever problem human’s face, we come up with a permanent solution to it. Although at the start of the time, we suffered a lot it was the human’s creative and innovative mind that helped them to find a solution for every problem. From the very beginning when someone rubbed two stone to invent fire to the mission of exploring Mars, there are some inventions that are worth more than anything. 1) The wheel:

While the inventor of this amazing invention among our top ten inventions is not known, but still it is the greatest invention to have happened to humans. Why is the wheel at the top of this list? Because, there is nothing around you, that does not feature a wheel in it. Though we do not about the inventor is this amazing machine but we do know that it was invented in 3500 B.C. The greatest problem that leads to its invention was transporting heavy and bulky items at that time.

2) The Compass:

The compass is another great invention that was made by humans. It was invented by a Chinese man in 1050 BC. The first ever compass of the world was made with lodestones. A lodestone is a naturally magnetized ore which means it automatically directs to the right direction. Before the invention of the compass, humans used stars and sun to determine the direction of their travel.

3) Printing press:

Another cool invention of all the times is the printing press. Innovated by a German named Johannes Gutenberg in 1440, printing press stands at the third position in the list of our world’s most important inventions and their inventors. With the invention of world’s first printing, press printing of books and newspapers became very easy.

Internal combustion engine is the first industrial product on our list. Though there are other products that revolutionized industry but combustion is among our top ten inventions. Combustion engine converts the chemical energy into mechanical energy.

5) Telephone:

How can we forget the thing which made it possible to connect all the shores of the world? You guessed it right it is the telephone. Invented by famous Graham Bell in 1876, the latest form of a telephone is the ultimate product of connectivity nowadays.

6) Bulb:

There was a time when humans could only see during daylight. But things changed in 1879 when Thomas Edison successfully invented the light bulb. It is also a very crucial invention and therefore is on our list of top 10 inventions that changed the world. Though some historians claim there were nearly a dozen other scientists try to create something like a bulb, Thomas was the only and the first one to succeed.

7) Penicillin:

Penicillin can be named the biggest discovery of the medical field. Though it was not invented rather discovered we still thought it has a place in important inventions and their inventors. It was discovered in 1928 by a Scottish scientist Alexander Fleming. It was accidentally discovered when Fleming forgot to cover the jar, he soon found the sample contaminated and all the bacteria die.

In earlier times batteries were not the same as we see them now. They consisted of a jar filled with vinegar. A copper cylinder which was surrounded by iron rod was inserted into the jar to save the charge. It was invented by Alessandro Volta. Alessandro also worked in the field of electrochemistry.

All praises to Charles Babbage who laid the foundations of this amazing gadget. Computers are now revolutionizing everything in the world. Whether it is business, technology, farming, medical or any field of life, without computing there is nothing. Babbage is named “father of the computer” as he invented the world’s first ever the mechanical computer.

There is the number of people who are associated with the development of this amazing technology but the only person who is most often credited is Lawrence Roberts. Starting with ARPANET created by ARPA in 1960, the modern form of which we see nowadays is the internet.
